Meet the 'two-minute man' CEO's chief enabler - his wife
This Wall Street wife has Stockholm syndrome, all right — thanks to a greedy young Swede she once tried to help.
Meet Michaela Wey, the spouse and chief enabler of Benjamin Wey, the New York Global Group CEO accused of being the red-hot, two-minute lover of Swedish underling Hanna Bouveng — then kicking Banging Bouveng to the curb after she "cheated" on him with another guy.
Michaela, 39, slumped into the courtroom Thursday in a funereal black pantsuit and disastrous bleached-blond hair.
Then came the real humiliation.
"He told me he wanted to help Ms. Bouveng,'' she testified in a thick Czech accent.
Wifey was swept off her feet by her quick-firing husband, now 43, 18 years ago when she was studying for her master's in business administration at the University of Oklahoma on a tennis scholarship and worked as a Denny's waitress.
They've been married 14 years with three kids.
Meanwhile, Benjamin met his Swedish Miss, now 25, at his house in the Hamptons in 2013 and eventually hired her as his marketing chief despite the fact that she had zero experience.
He paid her $2,500 a month.
"Yes, I thought . . . he should raise it to a higher amount so she could be comfortable,'' Michaela Wey actually testified.
Despite having a law degree, she kept the books and did administrative chores for her hubby's company, and knew all about the thousands upon thousands of dollars' worth of luxury goodies he bestowed on the lass.
But she soured on her apparent rival only after watching Bouveng flirt like a tart with a business associate on a business trip to Luxembourg.
She started to cry.
Why?
"There was a New York Post article that came out the next day citing some of the allegations in the complaint [by Bouveng]," she said. "Everything changed, these issues about my husband out in the public and allegations that he was a sexual harasser and stalker and abuser."
Bouveng is now a waitress in a cafe in Sweden.
Relax, Michaela, you've already won.
